Gray, and leaving.

by Zac on Aug.01, 2006, under Design

I’ve implemented a theme with framework that I enjoy well enough to modify to my liking. It is rather drab, currently. All the grays are reminiscent of the way Portland makes me feel. Except when I see the black building that recently appeared out of thin air. Then I just feel creeped out. Not that Portland brings me down, but its steel skyline is just so ever-present. It even takes a few days come July to remind you of its eventual return. Anyhow, I’ll eventually replace the grays with more enjoyable colors. Perhaps whites and blues and yellows and greens. Things that are more inviting. The dankness of this color scheme doesn’t really suit me. I enjoy the black and white photo though. Maybe that can stay. Thoughts?

I leave for Mexico in one month. I’ll say it again so it sinks in. I leave for Mexico in one month. It’s quite intimidating to think about. I’m rather unprepared. I’ve got all sorts of things left to sell, only one box packed, and a seemingly endless amount of possessions that I have no clue what I am going to do with. Anybody care to donate some semi-permanent storage space? We are having a garage sale in a couple weeks, but I really ought to start CraigsListing and eBaying my stuff. If I’ve got anything you want, let me know. I’ll likely sell it to you. It’s 3:30am and I’ve got to be at the train station in 6.5 hours. Goodnight.
